If you negotiate film hire throughout a film's run of play, final distributor percentages may not be agreed upon until the end of the films lifespan. Distribution terms may change week on week before they are finalised.
In the Film Hire form (Head Office > Maintenance), the Film Hire Worksheet allows you to manipulate distribution terms in real time to see the effect on film hire, without applying these experimental changes to the contract currently in place.
Note: Only film bookings with the Distribution Term set to Distributor Percentage are available in the Film Hire Worksheet.
- In Film Hire Payments, click Film Hire Worksheet.
- Select the desired film.
- Enter the new distributor percentage in the Proposed % column.
- (Optional) Edit the House Cost value.
Tip: Select Reset to Contract to discard your changes. - Click Save to preserve changes without applying them to the current contract.
After you are satisfied with your changes and wish to apply them to the current contract, additional steps are required:
- Select the rows with the desired changes.
- Click Apply to Contracts.
The value in the Proposed % column is applied as a Override %.
