Configure POS to allow users to start and access checks with the cinema auditorium Seat Map. This is particularly useful for Gold Class cinemas that offer in-seat dining.

1. Set up workstations

Before you begin

Set the Show Checks Seat Map button to Visible on the POS Button Layout used by the required Workstations (Cinema Manager > Maintenance > POS Button Layouts)

Steps

1. Open the workstation record required from Cinema Manager > Workstations.
2. On the Checks tab, select Use Seat Maps for Check.
3. Select the Seat Map to Display.
4. Press Save.

2. Starting and accessing seat map checks at POS

In this example the Workstation maintenance setting Seat Map to Display is set to Prompt on Create Check.

Steps

1. On the Checks page of the POS Main Selling Screen, press Create New Check.
   The Select Screen dialog appears.
2. Select the screen you wish to create the check for.
   The Seat Map window appears with the seating layout of the selected cinema.
3. Select the seats you wish to create the check for.
4. Press Accept.
   The keyboard displays to enter the Check Details.
   The Check ID, Name, and Location are automatically filled with the seat number of the first seat selected. Seat numbers are formatted according to the TabIDFormatSeatInfo system setting.
5. From here, other details can be entered as normal to create the check.

When a check is created for a seat in a session, the Start Time of the session is added to the Check Name as an identifier.
