After you create a check, you can create additional checks for the same order. Creating multiple checks allows you to split the initial check into multiple planned transactions. A POS operator can then choose which items in the order belong to which check.
- Open or start a check from the Checks page on POS.
Tip: You can also create checks on the Split Checks screen.
Note: The Order Window is highlighted to indicate that check order mode is active. By default the colour is blue, but it can be customised with the system setting OrderWindowBackColourTab.
- Tap the plus sign (+) to create a new check.
Items that you add to the order are assigned to the newest check. If you assign items in the check to individual guests, you can automatically split a check by guest.
