Enforcing the use of checks
In a restaurant environment, it may be appropriate to set up workstations so that serving staff cannot start an order without a check.
Note: Checks can also be enforced using work areas. If a staff member is clocked on using a work area that is configured to enforce checks, they will not be able to start an order without a check.
- In Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Workstations and profiles, open the Workstation record you want to enforce checks for.
- On the Checks tab, select Checks required for all orders.
Note: Enable Checks must be selected first.
- (Optional) On the main workstation tab, set the Default Sales Tab to Checks.
This will cause POS to return to the Checks page on the Main Selling Screen automatically after each transaction, allowing the user to select or create a tab for the next transaction.
