Customers sometimes want to split the cost of one item across multiple checks, such as when a table of friends shares a bottle of wine or a plate of nachos.
-
- Open a check and tap Split Checks.
Note: You might need to press More to see the Split Checks button.
- Select the item to split over multiple checks.
- Press Split Item.
- Enter the number of checks the item will split across. The item is then split into that number of separate entries.
- Select each entry and assign it to a check.
Tip: If you split an item by accident or customers change their minds about splitting the item, assign the split item entries to one check, select them all, and tap Combine Items.
- Open a check and tap Split Checks.
