If your ring up an item for the wrong table, you can easily move it to a different order.
Tip: You can also move items between checks within an order.
Before you begin
To give POS operators the ability to transfer items between checks, you must set the Split Checks button to Visible on the POS Button Layout(s) used by workstations where your staff will work with checks.
Steps
- On the Checks page, click Select Checks.
- Select two checks. One check (the incorrect check) has the item that you want to move, and the other check (the correct check) is the one the item belongs on.
Note: If a check is associated with an order that's not yours, you might need a higher level of security to complete this action. The security level required is set by the SecurityTabTransferItem system setting.
- Tap More > Transfer Check Items.
- Select any items in the incorrect check that you want to to transfer.
- Tap the correct check.
- Tap Transfer.
- Tap Done to return to POS.
