When patrons order items at POS that need to be prepared by the kitchen staff (such as a burger or a steak dish), the items are displayed on the Kitchen screen. How you proceed through the preparation process depends on your cinema's configuration and preference.
- Select an item from an order displayed on the Kitchen screen.
Note: You can select the item using a bump bar or, if the screen is touch-enabled, by touching the item.
- Select the Start button to initiate preparation.
Note: Depending on your cinema's configuration (in Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Workstations and profiles), the kitchen screen may not display a Start button, in which case, select the Made button to initiate preparation.
The item moves from the Start lane to the Processing lane on the screen.
- If you have a Start button and selected it to initiate preparation, select the Made button when you reach the next stage of preparation.
Example: If you selected Start before assembling a pizza, select Made when you take it out of the oven.
Note: The meaning you assign to this button, and when you select it, will depend on your cinema's process and preference.
This status of the item in the Processing lane changes. On a standard kitchen screen, this is represented by a coloured square, next to the item, that matches the colour of the button you've selected. On a Master Kitchen Screen, the background of the order tile changes to blue when all the items are in the Made state. This increases the visibility of an order from a distance.
- After the item has been cooked, select Collected.
The item disappears from the screen.
