To make table service or in-seat delivery easier, each item in a check can be assigned to a guest, so that everything a custom orders is associated with a particular seat position at a table or a seat number in an auditorium. Checks can then be split by guest automatically as needed.
Before you begin
Enable the Select Guest and Change Guest buttons for your POS workstations.
Tip: If you anticipate that your staff will use these functions a lot, set low sequence numbers for the buttons so they're readily visible at POS.
Steps
- Create a check and add items to it. By default the items are assigned to Guest 1.
- Assign additional items to different guests by doing one of the following actions:
- Tap Guest + to increase the active guest number by one. Any items added to the order are assigned to the most recently created guest.
- Tap Guest: X to select a guest. Any items added to the order are assigned to the active guest.
Tip: To re-assign an item to a different guest, select the item, tap Guest: X and enter the number of the guest who should receive the item, and tap Change Guest.
