See the following examples to see how you can configure comps at your cinema:
Food quality comp
A Food Quality comp might be used to discount an item in the order if the customer is not satisfied with the standard of the meal.
This example comp is included in the Food Issue category, which might include other comps like Kitchen Error, or Late Delivery. In this example setup it requires supervisor or higher approval, may be applied in conjunction with other comps, and it will prompt for a comment where the server can enter a specific reason for the discount. By default, the comp gives 100% off the price of selected items, and it is associated with its own item for receipts and reports.

25% staff drink discount
An organisation may have a 25% Staff Alcohol comp in order to give staff a discount on alcohol purchased at the bar.
This example comp is included in the Staff Discount category, and in this setup can be applied without approval. When the comp is added to an order, it will apply to all valid items automatically, and will continue to be applied to items added after the comp. It cannot be used in conjunction with other comps to receive further discount on the same items. By default, the comp gives 25% off the price of selected items, and it is associated with its own item for receipts and reports.

A Tax Exemption comp can be used to remove tax values.
This example comp requires supervisor or higher approval. Once added to an order, it will apply to all valid items automatically, and will continue to be applied to items added after the comp. It can be used in conjunction with other comps to receive further discount on the same items if required, and is associated with its own item for receipts and reports.

On the Items and Tickets tab, select any Item Class that include items with tax that is elligible to be removed:
Example: Beer, Wine & Spirits, Restaurant
Leave (All in Item Class) in the Item column to make the comp valid for all items in the selected classes.
Nothing is required in Type and Value columns, as the comp will automatically remove whatever the tax value is from valid items.
Note: Tax is removed by charging Zero tax per item that the comp applies to, rather than removing the tax value of the order as a whole. This means that prices are calculated as net prices that include zero tax, rather than net prices with the tax value removed.
