You can create vouchers that customers redeem multiple times and in multiple ways. For example, you might create a voucher that a customer can redeem three times, and each time they'll receive both a ticket and a small popcorn.
Note: Multiuse vouchers and a voucher booklets are similar. However, a booklet represents separate, individual vouchers (think of a physical booklet with pages that can be torn out when used), while a multiuse voucher represents a single pass that can be presented multiple times (think of a public transportation card that you can use for busses, trains, or ferries). One option might suit your purposes better than the other, or you might have a use for both voucher configurations.
- In Voucher Manager, go to Maintenance > Voucher Types.
- Click Create.
- Configure the basic settings of the Voucher Type tab, just as you would for any other voucher type. Also, set the Redeemable Type option to Booklet of Varying Types.
- On the Multiuse Voucher tab, specify the number of times a customer can use each redemption type. Enter 0 for any redemption type that is not applicable to the voucher.
Example: A multiuse ticket and popcorn voucher might have a redemption quantity of 3 in the ticket row, 3 in the payment voucher row, and 0 in the miscellaneous voucher row.
- Select the recharge options that you'd like to use for the voucher.
Notes:
- You can't enable automatic recharging after you generate voucher stock. Create a new multiuse voucher to use automatic recharges.
- You can turn off automatic recharging at any time.
- To allow customers to recharge the voucher at POS, create an item for this purpose and add it to your POS display.
- If you want to allow customers to recharge the voucher before all the redemptions have been used:
- Go to Maintenance > Voucher Rules.
- Open the Recharge_RedemptionsRemaining rule.
- Clear the Enabled check box.
- In the Multiuse Voucher tab, select Manual Recharge and then select Allow Recharge Before Empty.
- Configure the Limitations and the Artworks tabs, just as you would for any other voucher type.
- Click Save.
- Click Voucher Prices and select the booklet you just created.
- Specify an issue and a redemption price for the booklet.
- Click Save.
Tip: Review recharge transactions and the date and time of each most recent recharge in Voucher Inquiry.
