Note: The code you enter must use the format specified in the Voucher Code system setting.

Example: Adult Gift Voucher
- If you choose Gift Card, Multiuse Voucher, or Booklet of Varying Types as the Redeemable Type of the voucher, configure the settings on the corresponding tab.
- Optionally, select the Randomise Barcodes check box to use randomised serial numbers. Vista recommends using this setting to maintain a secure system.
- Select the type of expiry date to use when ordering stock or selling stock.
Note: If Expiry Period is set to Months, the setting Expire at Month End determines whether the voucher expires on the last day of the month or on the anniversary of the ordered or sold date.
- Select the Expire at Month End check box to have the voucher expires on the last day of the month.
- Clear the Expire at Month End check box to have the voucher expire on the anniversary of the ordered or sold date.
- Optionally, go to the Limitations tab and add any restrictions on where and when vouchers of this type can be sold or redeemed.
Tip: Use the Start Number and End Number fields to apply restrictions to a specific range of vouchers based on their barcodes.
- Click Save.
Modifying a voucher type
When the details of a voucher change, update the record as needed following the steps above. Keep in mind that some details can't be changed after you've generated stock. If you need to use any settings that are not available in an existing record, you'll need to create a new voucher type.
