Before you begin
- Enable the Apply Order Comp POS button for the required workstation(s) and/or apply comps to item buttons on POS.
Steps
- In POS, navigate to the Checks page and open the Check to which you wish to add a comp. The items included in the check are loaded into the order window.
- Select the Item(s) in the order to which the comp should be applied.
- Click Promotions/Loyalty.
- Click the Comp button.
Using the Apply Order Comp button
- In POS, navigate to the Checks page and open the Check to which you wish to add a comp.
- The items included in the check are loaded into the order window.
- Select the Item(s) in the order to which the comp should be applied
Example: Steak & Vegetables
- Press More > Apply Order Comp.
- Select the required category.
Example: Food Issue.
- Select the required comp.
Example: Food Quality.
- If the comp is configured to Prompt for Comment, enter a comment about the reason for the comp.
Example: Steak overdone.
The comp line is added to the order window.
Note: It's possible to press the Apply Order Comp button and select the comp before selecting items. If this is done, click the Apply Comp button after selecting the items.
Tip: Comps are saved automatically when they are applied after items have been added to the order. It is not necessary to tap Send & Continue to apply the comp if you do not have food items that need preparation in the kitchen.
