Creating a placeholder film to be used for screen hires in Group Sales

Some customers may want to hire a screen, but not watch a film. In order for the Screen Hire to be scheduled, however, a film must still be assigned to the session. Therefore, you must configure at least one placeholder film to be used for Screen Hires.

1. In Head Office, go to Maintenance > Films.
2. Create a new Film record, specifying the following details:
   • Title: Group Sale 60min
   • Distributor
   • Genre 1
   • Film Rating
   • Duration: 60
3. Create additional placeholder films for common Screen Hire durations (for example: 90 minutes; 120 minutes).

Tip: To avoid inaccuracy in reporting, create a placeholder Distributor for your Group Sales film records in Box Office > Films/Sessions > Distributors.
