If your organisation sells large numbers of vouchers (for example, to schools and companies), Group Sales can help you manage those sales.
Before you begin
Ensure that the following is complete:
- A Vista Services representative has enabled the Group Sales voucher feature in Head Office, entered your Head Office Cinema Codes as HOPKs in VGC (if you are an existing VGC user), and synced your clients and contacts between VGC and Head Office.
- You have configured a default payment method in Vouchers & Gift Cards.
- A Vista Services representative has configured the Head Office system setting HeadOfficeAuthenticationServiceURL.
- You belong to a Vouchers & Gift Cards user group that has access to the Clients module.
Vouchers & Gift Cards
- In Vouchers & Gift Cards, create a Client with the following details:
Code: GS
Name: Group Sales
Note: This client is used when a member of the public, who doesn't have a company record in Group Sales, places a voucher order. Although some of the address and contact fields are mandatory, you can enter anything for those. The important values are the ones above.
- In Payment Methods, write down the ID of the default payment method.
Note: You will need this when you configure the related Head Office system setting.
Configuring Head Office system settings
In Head Office, configure the following system settings:
- GroupSales_VGCClientCode: Must match the Code of the client that you created in Vouchers & Gift Cards.
- GroupSales_VGCPaymentMethodId: Must match the ID of the default payment method that you identified in Vouchers & Gift Cards.
- GroupSales_VGCDeliveryMethodName: Must match a value that exists in Vouchers & Gift Cards.
- GroupSales_VoucherManagementWebSvcURL: Defaults to http://localhost/WSVistaVoucherManagement/. If Vouchers & Gift Cards is installed on a server other than the Head Office one, replace 'localhost' with the server's name or IP address.
- GroupSales_VoucherPriceOverride: If you want prevent the unit price of vouchers from being overridden in Group Sales, change this setting to N.
