You can enforce a fund balance check for your cinema as part of the end of day system integrity checks. A manager will be unable to close the day until the actual and expected balances match.

In Head Office, the expected fund balance for a site is made effective from a certain date on the Site form.

Enforcing a fund balance

1. Go to Cinema Manager > Maintenance > System Settings.
2. Set EnforceCinemaFundBalance to Yes.

If you select Yes, a cinema manager will be unable to close the day until the actual and expected balances match. CashDesk will highlight the discrepancy. The fund balance must match the value set within Head Office.

If you select No, the fund balance check will not be enforced during the end of day system integrity checks.

Setting an expected fund balance

1. Go to Head Office > Maintenance > Sites.
2. Select a site.
3. Click Cinema Fund Balance.
4. Enter a balance.
5. Save.

   Warning: If you re-open a day that was closed in the past the End of Day system integrity checks will be skipped. The Fund Balance Check will not be enforced. If you are closing a past day for the first time the Fund Balance Check will be enforced, unless later days were opened. If later days were opened, the Fund Balance Check be performed but not enforced.
