Entering a tax identity at POS based on transaction value

You can configure POS to request either a tax number, or a tax name and number for a transaction.

You can also configure this option based on the value of the transaction, i.e. a tax number or tax name and number may only be requested if the transaction exceeds a certain value.

This process involves the interaction of two system settings: ForceTaxNumber and ForceTaxDetailsMinimumAmount.

1. Open the system setting ForceTaxNumber.

   If the value is set to No, POS will never request tax details.

2. If required, set the value to either Number Only or Name and Number.
3. Save.
4. Open the system setting ForceTaxDetailsMinimumAmount.

   If the value is set to 0, POS will request tax details regardless of the transaction value.

   If the value is set to a value greater than 0, POS will only request tax details if the transaction value is equal to or greater than the specified value.

5. Save.
