Normalising general ledger postings

Vista records general ledger postings in general ledger accounts according to their debit or credit status. By default, either type of posting can be recorded as a positive or negative amount.

To normalise general ledger postings so that all postings are recorded with positive values, set the system setting NormaliseGLPosts to Yes.

Note: Normalising general ledger postings changes the negative values of existing posts to positive values, and updates the debit or credit status of those posts accordingly. This process is useful for preventing general ledger accounts from errantly being recorded as negative revenues (rather than positive expenses).
