Suggested upsells appear when a POS operator completes an order.
POS checks the contents of the order, and if they're sufficiently close to matching the contents of a combo, POS will suggest that combo for the order instead.
Before you begin
- The basic item must have been and made available for sale at POS in POS designer.
- Combos or item packages must have been created.
Steps
This can be done in Head Office or Cinema Manager
- Go to .
- Choose a value for the system setting UpsellItemQtyPercentage.
This setting determines how closely the number of ordered items must match the contents of a combo or item package for that combo or package to be offered as an upsell.
The higher the value, the more closely the contents of the combo or package must resemble the ordered items.
A combo or item package is offered as an upsell if at least this percentage of its contents have been ordered as individual items.

- Choose a value for the system setting UpsellItemValuePercentage.
This setting determines how closely the value of ordered items must match the value of a combo or item package for that combo or package to be offered as an upsell.
The higher the value, the more closely the price of the combo or item package must match the total price of the separate items.A low value will result in POS suggesting more upsells. Many of the upsells may have prices above the amount that the patron is prepared to spend.
A high value will result in POS suggesting fewer upsells. The prices of the upsells will be close to the patron's initial spend.
Note: When an item is upsold with this method, the POS operator may need to select options or features (based on what the patron wants). If the patron had already selected options or features for the original item, those selections will be carried over to the new item with the upsell.
