When a POS operator logs off, the POS session shows as closed but not cashed-up. The POS operator then returns to the cash room or back office where the manager can check the amounts, enter the actual counts from the float, and record any other adjustments such as overs or unders.
Prior to cashing up, you can remove the original float amounts from banking totals in order to make a new float that can be issued again.
