In a kitchen environment, the expeditor (sometimes also called the master) station monitors the meals or parts of meals being prepared in the kitchen stations, and combines them into orders for collection by serving staff.
The expeditor workstation needs to be configured as the master kitchen screen.
- Open the expeditor's Workstation record:
- Select Master kitchen screen.
- Select the Service areas you want the workstation to be the expeditor for.
Example: In the example setup, select Expeditor, Hot station, and Cold station.
If your organisation has a more complex setup with multiple kitchens, it is possible to configure multiple expeditors, each responsible for a subset of service areas.
Note: Two expeditors cannot be configured as the master kitchen screen for the same service area.
