In the All printers setup where the expeditor (coordinating staff member or workstation) only has a printer and no screen, when an item requiring preparation is ordered on POS, a pickup slip is printed at the same time as the prepare slip.
When the prepare-area staff have finished preparing an item, the expeditor can match the prepare and pickup slips and send the item out for collection by serving staff.
Note: In the Combination setup, the prepare areas only have printers but the expeditor has a workstation and uses the Kitchen Screen to process collecting items.
