Use the following guidelines to search for companies or individuals in Group Sales.

Search criteria for companies

Option	Allowed Values	Description
Company contacts	cleared selected	Search for contacts who are associated with a company. Select this option to narrow your search when you are looking for a corporate contact.
Company		The text to search for within the contact's company name. Tip! For best results, enter the most significant words in the company's name. For example, to search for ABC Cinemas Ltd. type ABC Cinemas.
Industry	Any active industry	Choose an industry to restrict your search to a specific industry, or All to search in all industries.
General Public	cleared selected	Search for contacts who are not associated with a company. Select this check box to narrow your search when you are looking for an independent contact.
Contact		The text to search for within the contact's name.
Phone Number		Digits to search for within the contact's landline, mobile, or fax numbers.
Preferred Site	Any configured Site	Choose a site to restrict your search to contacts who have a specific preferred site.
Include inactive customers	cleared selected	Searches both active and inactive contacts and companies. If this check box is cleared, only active contacts and companies are searched.
