Group Sales booking and event types

Group Sales comes with several types you can assign to events and bookings:

• Private Event: A customer books a screen or function room at a cinema for their own exclusive use. The customer can decide to show a currently available movie, or bring their own content, such as a presentation.
• Public Screening: A customer books tickets for a group of people to see an upcoming movie. The customer can also decide to hire a function room, and have specialised food and beverage packages.
• Distributor Preview: A distributor books a screen for a film presentation at a cinema. No Film Hire is required.

You can also customise your own booking types to categorise events more specifically. The event types you create will be sub-types of those listed above.

Group Sales supports events that are made up of multiple bookings; for booking a single site for multiple dates, or an event that spans multiple sites and dates. Multi-booking events are supported for distributor previews and private events, and are created in the same way as regular events.
