A group ticket provides valid admission for each patron in a group for a private event.

Cinemas can print tickets for private events in one of two ways. You can print individual tickets for every patron in the group, or a single group ticket.

Individual tickets are necessary in countries where tickets are required to be numbered or recorded individually in transactions. Group tickets provide the advantage of reducing waste and increasing efficiency when processing tickets.

Note: Group tickets are only supported for private events. All public screenings and distributor previews will have a single ticket printed per person.

Printing tickets for a private event

You can either print individual tickets for each patron in a Group Sales private event, or a single Group Ticket valid for all group members. Configure this using the system setting PrivateBookingTicketPrint in Head Office > Maintenance > System Settings.

Note: If your booking has multiple ticket types and you select to print a Group Ticket, one ticket will be printed for each ticket type. Group Ticket printing is not supported in sessions with allocated seating.
