Group Sales has a distinct process for creating a sale. Each stage is represented by a booking status.
During the initial stages, a sale is marked as an Inquiry. The salesperson progresses the sale to the Inquiry Follow-Up status, where they have the ability to provide a quote and request approval of the booking from the film programmers. After a customer has agreed to the quote the salesperson marks the sale as Tentative, and then Confirmed when the deposit is paid.
After the event, sales data is collated within Group Sales. This enables the salesperson to send a final invoice for any outstanding payments. Once all invoices and payments have been finalised, the salesperson marks the sale as Closed.
At any stage during the process, a sale may be Cancelled or marked as a Lost Opportunity.
Tip! On the booking page, Group Sales provides a checklist for your booking's status. The checklist has actions such as whether you've sent a quote, or if the customer has paid the invoice. This helps you track the booking in more detail, and decide when to move it to the next booking status. Using this checklist is optional, it doesn't prevent you from moving between booking statuses.
