Using external venues

You may want to use an external venue for an event you are organising, but for which you don't have all the necessary facilities.

For example:

• Use a bar as an external venue for a Private Event.
• Book an event through a partner cinema site in an area where you don't have a site.

When working with an external venue, there is no integration between Group Sales and any software used by the external venue (for example: film programming software run by a partner cinema). You must manually communicate with the venue to arrange booking details. In addition, the films and concession items that can be booked for an external venue in Group Sales are generated from the films and concession items at your Head Office. As a result, they may not accurately represent the films and concession items at the external venue.

Configure external venues in Head Office: Venue > External Venues. After you have set up external venues, you can select them in the same way as regular sites when creating an event.
