A unique four character code to identify the Item Class.

Description

1–50 characters

A description of the Item Class. This will be displayed on Reports.

Concession Sales Account

Any configured General Ledger Account

The GL Account used to override the default Concession Revenue system account.

COGS Account

Any configured General Ledger Account

The GL Account used to override the default Cost of Goods Sold system account.

Inventory Account

Any configured General Ledger Account

The GL Account used to override the default Inventory system account.

Inventory Adjustments Account

Any configured General Ledger Account

The GL Account used to override the default Inventory Adjustments system account.

Received not Invoiced Account

Any configured General Ledger Account

The GL Account used to override the default Uninvoiced Receipts system account.

Default Prepare Area

Any configured Prepare Area

When the Items in the Item Class it will be configured to be sent to the Default Prepare Area when sold.

If required, it is possible to override the Default Prepare Area by configuring items to be sent to Prepare Areas based on the Workstation Group it is sold from. This is done on the Service Areas tab in Item maintenance. 

Tip Share Group

Any configured Tip Share Group

The Tip Share Group that this Item Class belongs to. You can assign multiple Item Classes to a Tip Share Group, for distributing a percentage of sales from those Item Classes amongst staff in a tip share scheme.

If the checkbox is selected, the Item Class will be printed on Concessions receipts. This can be configured in the Print Template.

Note: If a transaction does not contain any items from an item class with this field selected, no receipt will print.

If your kitchen setup uses an Expeditor with a Master Kitchen Screen, you may wish to exclude certain items from being displayed to that operator.

If the checkbox is selected, all Items in the Item Class will be visible to the expeditor; if the checkbox is cleared, they will be hidden.

Example: The operator running the kitchen wants to see items from all Prepare Areas in the kitchen, but not items from the Bar Lines Item Class because they are all prepared in the separate bar area and are not relevant.

Determines whether this is the default Item Class assigned to new items when they are first created.

Exclude From Tippable Sales

Determines whether this item will be excluded from calculations related to tippable sales in system settings such as EnhancedCashTipsCalculation.

Cinema

Whenever an item in the Item Class is sold at the selected Cinema, the corresponding Sales Tax will always be used, regardless of the Tax Code configured on the Item.

Use the Workstation Group option for more detailed control within a single cinema.

Workstation Group

Any configured Workstation Group

Whenever an item in the Item Class is sold from the selected Workstation Group at the selected Cinema, the corresponding Sales Tax will always be used, regardless of the Tax Code configured on the Item.

This option allows different tax rates to be used within the same cinema, depending on the area in which the item is purchased.

Sales Tax

Any configured Sales Tax

The Sales Tax rate used when an item in the Item Class is purchased at the corresponding Cinema and Workstation Group(s).

Tax Inclusive

If the checkbox is selected, the Price configured for items in the Item Class includes the tax amount.

If the checkbox is cleared, the tax amount is added to the base price.
