This Head Office and Cinema Manager form allows you to group similar Items together.
You can also create item classes in Loyalty (Loyalty Admin > Cinema > Item Classes > Add new record), but these are usually imported from Head Office.
Example: All popcorn items may be classified under the item class POPC.
Note: The General Ledger Account options for an item class are used to override the default System Accounts configured on the GL Account form. If the fields are not configured for an item class, the default system accounts will be used.

If your kitchen setup uses an Expeditor with a Master Kitchen Screen, you may wish to exclude certain items from being displayed to that operator. If the checkbox is selected, all Items in the Item Class will be visible to the expeditor; if the checkbox is cleared, they will be hidden. Example: The operator running the kitchen wants to see items from all Prepare Areas in the kitchen, but not items from the Bar Lines Item Class because they are all prepared in the separate bar area and are not relevant. |
