The Daily cashup page provides a summary of the day's takings and banking amounts from all sales sessions. You can review the POS activity for the day at a summary level, and reconcile this against the actual banking.
Note: All sales sessions should be completed and closed before viewing the Daily cashup page.
Sales and reconciliation should match exactly – if they don't, there's a problem. Likely causes of this problem:
- A workstation isn't fully set up. This is the most likely cause of this problem, and happens when a new remote device is added to a site, such as an ATM or a website. The workstation is added with no workstation group, and isn't included in the takings section. To fix this, check the setup of any recently added workstations (including inactive ones).
- Other error. If the problem is not workstation record setup then contact Vista support for more in depth technical analysis.
Sales
These tables provide a summary of the day's total paid sales. The sales figures should always match exactly to the Daily Box Office report and the Concessions Sales report for the business day.
Reconciliation
Table | Description |
Non-banking | Payments inside payment groups that have been set up as non-bankable. for example, ticket vouchers |
Expected banking | Any payments that can be banked, summarised by payment group. For example; cash, cheques, credit card, EFTPOS, Stored Value. These figures should be balanced against the payment group figures on the Daily Operations report, and the total figure on the Cashier Reconciliation report. |
Deposits | All deposits made to be sent to the bank. |
Cinema fund | The total value of all available funds held in the cash room. This is the total quantity and value of all items held within the fund locations that are not locked and waiting for dispatch to the bank, and are not at an active point of sale. |
Cinema fund balance
If the Cinema Balance = 0, then Total Revenue = Total Banking
This shows that everything that came in from the POS was counted and sent to banking. It means that the balance of the safe has stayed the same from one day to the next.
