The name of the Item Prepare and Pickup Area. This will appear in the Prepare Area and Pickup Area to Use dropboxes on the Item maintenance form, and will also be displayed on reports.

Short Description

1–20 characters

A short name for the Item Prepare and Pickup Area, displayed on POS or if the full Description is too long.

Redirect Area

Any other configured Item Prepare and Pickup Area

If an area is experiencing problems, Items and Slip Printing can be redirected to another area.

A redirect can be initiated through the POS Button menu More > Settings > Redirect, or through the Kitchen Screen.

Area Lead Time (mins)

Any time value in minutes

The Area Lead Time affects the required Prepare Start Time for Items prepared in the area.

The prepare start time for an item will be the Delivery Time, minus the Area Lead Time and the Length of Time To Make, as configured on the Item maintenance form.

If the checkbox is selected, this area will be able to be used as a Pickup Area.

Note: This field must be selected to configure Pickup Slip Printers.

The Printer that will be used for printing Pickup Slips in the area.

The secondary printer that will be used for printing Pickup Slips in the area.

If the checkbox is selected, this area will be able to be used as a Prepare Area.

Note: This field must be selected to configure Prepare Slip Printers.

• If Prepare Area is selected, the area where items were prepared will also be the pickup area, regardless of the Workstation which the items were sold at.
• If Selling Workstation is selected, prepared items will be picked up from the Workstation they were sold from.
• If Pickup Area is selected, prepared items will be picked up from a selected pickup area (for example: another area with the Allow Pickup field selected). The pickup area is specified in the dropbox.

Note: These options are only available if the Item Prepare and Pickup Area has the Allow Prepare checkbox selected.

Prepare Slip Printer

Any configured Printer

The Printer that will be used for printing Prepare Slips in the area.

Tip: To assign multiple printers to a single Item Prepare Area, click the * to add another row and select the appropriate printer.

Backup Prepare Slip Printer

Any configured Printer

The secondary printer that will be used for printing Prepare Slips in the area.

Tip: To assign multiple backup printers to a single Item Prepare Area, click the * to add another row and select the appropriate printer.
