Effective From/To

Any date and time, in your computer's local date and time format

The Price Book can be configured to be valid during a certain time period. The price book will not be valid outside this time period.

Start/End Time of Day

Any time

The Price Book can be configured to be valid during a certain time of day. The price book will not be valid outside these hours.

Days

Any day (cleared or selected)

The Price Book will be valid on each weekday that is selected. The price book will not be valid on days that are not selected.

Lowest Value

Most Recent Start Date

Determines which price to use for an item that that is in multiple price books with overlapping effective dates.

Note: If Most Recent Start Date is selected and an item is in multiple price books that have the same effective dates, then POS will apply the lowest price from those price books.

Item Class

Any configured Item Class

By default this is the Item Class as configured on the maintenance form of the Item selected in the following field, but this can be overridden for the Price Book.

If an item class is selected first, the dropbox in the Item field will only display items of that class.

Item

Any configured Item

The Concession Item that is included in the Price Book. During the time period(s) when the price book is valid, the price specified here will be used, not the price specified on the item's maintenance form.

Price

Any monetary value

By default this is the Price as configured on the maintenance form of the item selected in the previous field, but this can be overridden for the Price Book.

Base Price

This is the price of the Item as configured on its maintenance form. This field cannot be edited.

Difference

n/a

This is the difference between the configured Price and the Base Price of the Item. This field cannot be edited.

For example: A Small Popcorn may have a base price of $2.50, but the price of the item for this Price Book may be configured as $2.20 or $2.75

The Difference will then be -$0.30 or $0.25 respectively.

Status of Price List

Active

Inactive

To be Deleted

An Active Price List is currently in use.

An Inactive Price List is not currently in use. This may be because it is still under construction, or because it only applies during a specific time period (e.g. school holidays).

A Price List that is saved as To be Deleted will be removed and can no longer be used.
