The Linking and Site Variable Data maintenance form in Head Office lets you:
- Link items and films to cinema groups or particular cinemas.
- Configure site specific data, such as vendor limits and vouchers system Cinema IDs.

Click to enable Films View Mode. |

Option | Description |
Cinema Filter |
Enter a search term or cinema code to display only Cinemas whose name contains the search term or code. For example: Filtering by Boston may display only Cinemas such as Boston Mainstream, Boston Gold Class, Boston IMAX. After a search term has been entered, press the Enter key and click the Refresh button in the Data section of the ribbon. |
Planning Groups |
Select a Planning Group to display only Cinemas included in the selected group. |
Cinemas |
Select the Cinemas to display. |
Cinema Groups |
Select a Cinema Group to display only Cinemas included in the selected group. |
Visible Fields

Select the Film/Concession data to be displayed in the grid. Note: The options available when Selecting Visible Fields for Film/Concession Information will change depending on the View Mode. |
Items With Variable Data |
If checkbox is selected, only Films/Items which have site variable data will be displayed. |
Variable Data Only |
If the checkbox is selected, all fields that do not contain site variable data will be hidden. |
Films/Concessions/Vendors
Note: This section is used to filter information corresponding to the currently selected View Mode.

Films/Concessions Filter |
Enter a search term to display only Films/Concession Items/Vendors whose name contains the search term. For example: In Films View Mode, filtering by Star Wars may display only Films such as Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. In Concessions View Mode, filtering by Popcorn may display only Items such as Small Popcorn, Medium Popcorn, Large Popcorn. After a search term has been entered, press the Enter key and click the Refresh button in the Data section of the ribbon. |
Films/Concessions |
Select the Films/Concessions/Vendors to display. |
Include Linked Films/Concessions |
If the checkbox is selected, Films/Concessions/Vendors that are linked to Cinemas/Cinema Groups will be displayed; if the checkbox is cleared, they will be hidden and only unlinked entries will be displayed. |
Data
Option | Description |
Refresh |
Click to refresh the Linking and Site Variable Data application. When settings are changed, it is necessary to refresh the application to update the information displayed. |
Expand All |
Click to expand all data groups on the left-hand side of the grid. |
Collapse All |
Click to collapse all data groups on the left-hand side of the grid. |
Save |
Click to save the grid data. |
Group Films By
To access these options, click the Films tab on the ribbon, which is available when the application is in Films View Mode.
Option | Description |
Ungrouped |
If Ungrouped is selected, Films will be listed individually, based on the setting selected in the Order Films By section. |
Distributor |
If Distributor is selected, Films will be grouped by Distributor into expandable/collapsible sections. The distributor groups will be listed alphabetically, and the films within each group will be listed based on the setting selected in the Order Films By section. |
Order Films By
To access these options, click the Films tab on the ribbon, which is available when the application is in Films View Mode.

Name |
If Name is selected, Films will be listed alphabetically by name. |
Release Date |
If Release Date is selected, Films will be listed chronologically by release date. |
Release Dates
To access these options, click the Films tab on the ribbon, which is available when the application is in Films View Mode.
Note: These are additional filters that work in conjunction with the filter settings on the Home ribbon tab.

Enter a date to filter the Films displayed to those released after the specified date. |
To |
Enter a date to filter the Films displayed to those released before the specified date. |
All Release Dates |
If the checkbox is selected, all Films with all release dates will be displayed. The From/To fields will become inactive. |

Click to refresh the Linking and Site Variable Data application. When settings are changed, it is necessary to refresh the application to update the information displayed. |

Click to expand all Film data on the left-hand side of the grid. |

Groups Concessions By
To access these options, click the Concessions tab on the ribbon, which is available when the application is in Concessions View Mode.

Concession Group |
If Concessions Group is selected, items will be grouped by Item Class. |
Vendor |
If Vendor is selected, items will be grouped by Vendor. |
Ungrouped |
If Ungrouped is selected, items will be listed individually, alphabetically by name. |
Data
To access these options, click the Concessions tab on the ribbon, which is available when the application is in Concessions View Mode.

Settings
To access these options, click the Settings tab on the ribbon.
Option | Description |
Save |
Click to save the display settings of the Linking and Site Variable Data application. Note: This only saves layout and display settings, not the data edited or entered in the grid. To save the information in the grid, click the Vista hands pearl in the top-left corner of the window and click the Save button. |
Restore |
Click to restore the previous display settings. |
