A business period is a time period used as a unit of planning and measurement in reporting. Configure 52 business periods (each one represents seven days) for your film planning/financial year.

A business period can start on any day (Monday–Sunday). In a film planning/financial year, Week 1 always starts on this chosen day regardless of when the actual New Year's Day falls.

The Business Period records in Head Office > Maintenance let you manage your business periods.

Option	Allowed Values	Description
Period Year	Any year	The fiscal year to which the business period belongs.
Period Number	n/a	An automatically generated sequence given to each business period when it is created. Note: This field is read-only and cannot be edited.
Period Start Date	Any date, in your computer's local date format	The date on which the business period starts. This is usually the beginning of a business week.
Type	Normal Holiday	Indicates whether the business period is a normal period or a holiday period.
Period Performance %	Any percentage

Period Generation

Click Period Generation to create business periods.

Option	Allowed Values	Description
Start Date	Any date, in your computer's local date format	The date from which the period generation will begin. Note: This date must be earlier or later than any existing periods, and periods generated cannot overlap with existing periods.
Year	Any year	The fiscal year to which the generated business period will belong.
No. of Periods	Any number	The number of business periods to generate.
Period Intervals	Week	Generates business periods of one calendar week in length.
Generate		Generates the business periods based on the specified information.
Cancel		Exits the period generation window and returns to the business period maintenance form.
