The following fields make up the Cinema form, accessed via Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Cinemas. Use this form to set up and maintain general details about your cinema.

If the checkbox is selected, this Cinema will be the default cinema; if the checkbox is cleared, it will not. Only one cinema can be configured as the default. On the Workstation maintenance form, the Cinema used for Inventory Sales field has the option Use Default. If this option is selected, the cinema that Is the Default Cinema will be used. |

The full name of a cinema (business unit) at a site. |
Short Name |
1–12 characters |
An abbreviated form of the Cinema Name. This will be displayed if the full name is too long. |
Site |
Any configured Site |
The Site to which the Cinema belongs. |
Circuit |
Any configured Circuit |
The Circuit to which the Cinema belongs. |
Sales Tax Registration |
1–20 characters |
The sales tax registration number of the Cinema. |
Currency Registration |
1–20 characters |
The cinema's foreign currency registration number. In some jurisdictions (for example, Mexico), organisations that accept payment in foreign currency are obliged to include a registration number on receipts and reports. Note: The data in this field is not downloaded to Cinemas from Head Office, so must be maintained separately in Back Office and Head Office. |

A code used by Head Office to identify the Cinema. This field is only required if your business uses Vista's Head Office solution. |
Cinema GL Code |
1–20 characters |
A code to identify the Cinema on the General Ledger. |
Location Type |
Any configured Location Type |
The Location Type of the Cinema. This information can be used by Head Office in generating performance reports based on groups of Cinemas from different location types. |
Reporting Sequence |
Any number |
A number indicating the order in which the Cinema appears on Reports. A Reporting Sequence of 1 indicates that the cinema is listed first on reports; higher numbers indicate a later position in the reports. |
External Sales Identifier |
1–20 characters |
A code that identifies the Cinema to third party sales systems. |
Receipt Message |
1–30 characters |
A message that is printed on concession receipts. This can be configured in the Print Template. For example: "Thank you. Visit us again!" |
Ticket Message |
1–50 characters |
A message that is printed on customer tickets. This can be configured in the Print Template. For example: "Enjoy your film!" |

User Name |

Password |

The Password associated to the User Name, used to log in, identify and authenticate an operator. Characters entered into Password and Confirm Password are concealed. Note: The same Password must be re-entered in Confirm Password before the Data Transfer record can be saved. |
Test Connection |

The Test Connection button validates that transfer path folders are accessible, using the User Name and Password as FTP credentials. Tip! The Test Connection button will be disabled if User Name and Password are not supplied. Note: If the connection to both transfer paths is successful, a success message will be displayed. If connection to transfer paths fails, an error message will be displayed. |
