The Session Types maintenance form in Cinema Manager and Head Office lets you create session types, which can be used to distinguish different kinds of sessions, such as Normal, Gold Class, Sneak Preview, Private Screening, Film Festival.
Option | Allowed Values | Description |
Description |
1–255 characters |
A full description of the Session Type. For example: Normal Session, Private Booking. |
Short Code |
1–10 characters |
A unique code by which to identify the Session Type. |
Projection Program |
1–255 characters |
This field can be used to reference the automation sequence used by the projectionist for shows configured with the Session Type. For example: Program 01 might represent a session of a Widescreen feature film with all Widescreen trailers, whereas Program 02 might represent a session with a CinemaScope feature and all Widescreen trailers. Programs 03 and 04 might then represent the corresponding sessions with CinemaScope trailers. |
Default Session Type |
Cleared Selected |
If the checkbox is selected, the Session Type will be the default for the cinema. When a Session is created in Showtime Manager, the session type will default to the one configured as the default. Note: Only one configured session type may have this option selected. If a record is saved with the field selected, all other records will have the Default Session Type field cleared. |
