To understand how smart modifiers work, you should first be familiar with how Vista uses standard modifiers.
Smart modifiers are a method of automatically allowing the ingredients of an ordered item to be customised at POS, with minimal configuration required in Cinema Manager.
When using smart modifiers, POS automatically creates a temporary modification group (called Smart Modifiers) that contains the components of the ordered item. The POS operator can then increase the quantity of the component (for example: extra cheese), remove the component, or note that the component should be served on the side.
Smart modifiers don't require a modification group to be set up in Cinema Manager.
