A ticket voucher can be redeemed for a ticket of any ticket type that has been configured with the voucher's barcode (Maintenance > Ticket Types > Vouchers > Barcode).

If you sell different tickets for standard and premium seating areas, you may give patrons the option of redeeming a standard ticket voucher for a premium ticket, by paying a surcharge.

Steps

1. In Head Office, go to Maintenance > Ticket Types.
2. Create a ticket type for each area category, to represent the tickets that patrons will receive by redeeming the voucher.

   Ensure that both ticket types list the tickets voucher's barcode.

3. In the ticket type's surcharge box, enter the amount that the patron must pay to upgrade to the ticket type from the cheapest ticket type associated with the voucher.
4. On the Price Cards tab, add these ticket types to all the price cards on which you want the ticket voucher to be usable.

At POS, an operator selling the standard voucher ticket type is offered the option to upgrade to the premium voucher ticket type.
