Setting up POS Stocktakes

It's possible to set up workstations and workstation groups to allow stocktakes to be performed at the POS. This is useful if a POS operator has his or her own stock that only they can sell and are responsible for.

Before you begin:

• Select a value for the Cinema Manager system setting POSStocktakeMode.

Create stock locations for each workstation

1. In Cinema Manger, go to Maintenance > Stock locations.
2. Create or open a stock location.
3. The stock location must be unique to a workstation, so we recommend naming the stock location after its workstation.
4. Set up the remaining options as required.
5. Save.
6. Go to Maintenance > Workstations.
7. Open the workstation POS stocktakes will be performed at, or create a new one.
8. Under Location, select the stock location you set up earlier.
9. Save.
10. Repeat these steps for each workstation that needs to be set up for POS Stocktakes.

Create stocktake groups and workstation groups

You'll need to create a varying amount of workstation groups, based on your setup:

If all concession workstations are performing POS stocktakes on the same items (see step 3 below), you only need to create one stocktake group and workstation group. If one group of concession workstations is stocktaking items that are different from a second group, two stocktake Groups and two workstation groups will be required. If one group of concession workstations is performing POS stocktakes on the same items and a second group isn't performing POS stocktakes at all, two workstation groups will also be required.

1. In Cinema Manger, go to Maintenance > Stocktake Groups.
2. Open a stocktake group or create a new one.
3. Select Available for Stocktake at POS.
4. Click POS Stocktake then, add the items that the workstation will stocktake at POS.

   For example: If there is a separate shelf of chocolate bars and candy on the counter next to each POS terminal, and the operators can only sell chocolate and candy from their own shelf, add the relevant items to the table, including how many there are expected to be at full stock. The operators will then stocktake their own chocolate and candy shelves at the end of the shift.

5. Set up the remaining options as required.
6. Save.
7. (Optional) If you want to restrict a workstation to selling items which are included in the POS Stocktake, you'll need to set up a new POS profile which only has concessions buttons for the relevant items, and assign it to the relevnt workstation group.
8. In Cinema Manger, go to Maintenance > Workstation Groups.
9. Open the workstation group that contains the workstations that will perform POS stocktakes.
10. On the Stocktake tab, select Enable Stocktake at POS , and select the Stocktake Group you created earlier.
11. If the POS Stocktake Mode is set to Float, select a Replenishment Location.
12. Save
13. Repeat these steps for each workstation group you need to create.
