A marathon combines two or more films into one event for session scheduling and sales, all shown on a single screen.
Example: To celebrate the release of The Hobbit 3, you could play all three films of the trilogy back-to-back at your cinema
Benefits:
- Quick scheduling: Marathons are treated as if one session.
- Pre-set breaks: Scheduled breaks between films are included by default.
- Simplified sales: Marathons appear as a single session on POS, and you can view the linked sessions individually on the Alternate Tickets screen.
- Single tickets: Patrons only need to buy one ticket (although you can print tickets per linked session if desired).
Limitations:
- You can't use the swap sessions feature for linked sessions in a marathon.
- You can't create or edit marathons after the start time of the first linked session.
Note: Reporting on marathons is affected by the DriveInMarathonMode system setting.
Important: This feature may not be available if you have the China Country Pack installed.
