React surveys are designed to help cinemas gather feedback from guests about the film they’ve just watched and gauge interest in upcoming releases. This article explains how React surveys work, how they integrate with Lumos living ticket, and how cinemas can implement them.
Getting started with React surveys
To use React surveys, cinemas must:
- Obtain a license for React.
- Choose between:
- Integrating with the digital platform survey endpoints.
- Using the out-of-the-box Lumos React survey UI.
React surveys through Living Ticket
If your cinema uses the Living Ticket:
After a session ends, the Living Ticket displays the first survey question instead of session details. The first question asks for a rating of the film just watched (e.g. “What did you think of Eternals?”). Guests rate the film from 1 to 5 stars. After submitting, they proceed to the next question.
Upcoming film interest survey
The second part of the survey asks guests about their interest in upcoming films:
- Films shown are randomly selected and ordered.
- At least 50% of the films are releasing within the next 4 weeks.
- Others are spread across the 4–8 week and 8–12 week windows.
- Guests respond by:
- Swiping right for Yes.
- Swiping left for No.
- Swiping down for Not heard of this film.
- Alternatively, using buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Survey availability and data capture
Surveys are accessible for up to 30 days after the session and responses are saved as they are submitted. If a guest exits mid-survey, their completed answers are retained. When guests return they will see their previous responses prefilled.
Using React surveys without living ticket
Cinemas not using Living Ticket or other Lumos sales channels can still use React surveys.
The React survey frontend can be linked via email. The survey functions the same, but starts without the Living Ticket context.
