To accept payments, a terminal must be assigned and boarded. This will connect the terminal to the internet and associate it with your physical store. While we handle assigning a terminal to a store, you must board it.
Steps
- Switch on the terminal. During startup, the display will turn on and off a few times.
- Select your preferred language.
- If prompted, connect to Wi-Fi. Follow the prompts to connect the terminal to the internet.
- On the terminal, select Board the terminal.
- Confirm the store assignment.
- Select Confirm to accept the store that the terminal should be assigned to.

Or, select the pencil icon to choose a different store from the list.
Note: If the wrong store is displayed or there's no pencil icon, contact Vista.
- Wait for the terminal to reboot. It may restart one or more times during this process.
Your terminal is now ready to process payments.
Note: If you have a terminal that was already assigned and boarded to a store and you want to use it for a different store, contact Vista to get the terminal reassigned.
