Refunding a transaction in Vista Payments

If you need to return funds to a customer, you must process the refund in Vista Payments. Depending on the payment method, refunds can take up to 40 days.

Important! A processing fee applies for each refund.

Steps

1. Go to Vista Payments > Transactions.
2. From the list of transactions, select the transaction you want to refund.
3. In the transaction details window, select Refund payment.
4. Confirm the refund details. You can choose to refund the full amount or a partial amount.
5. Select Refund.

The transaction type will update to Refund. To view refunded transactions easily, use the filter Type > Refund.

Note: Refunded transactions receive a unique Refund PSP Reference number. To find it, open the transaction and view its details.
