What is Web Tracker?

Web Tracker provides you with the ability to send actionable events generated through member activity on your website to Movio Cinema.

It allows you to gather behavioural information around moviegoers outside of the generic ecosystem (emails and transactions), and you will be able to see how members interact with your website and use that information to power connections or segmentation.

What functionality can I find in Web Tracker?

Web Tracker is capable of tracking the following interactions:

TrackMemberLogin — a user logged into the website
TrackMovieDetail — a user visited a movie detail page for a certain amount of time
TrackMovieRating — a user rated a movie
TrackMovieTrailer — a user watched a movie trailer
TrackMovieWatchlist — a user added/removed a movie to/from their watch list
TrackAbortedTicketPurchase — a user aborted a ticket purchase for a specific movie

Custom Web Interactions — a new generic endpoint that will be defined by the exhibitor. This can be used when you want to capture additional behaviour to what is available through the predefined endpoints (people that clicked on a banner, or people that search the website by a specific keyword).

Can I choose to implement only some of the available data points?

Yes, you can choose which data points are most relevant to your organisation. For example, to track members who added a movie to their watch list, you’ll need to implement the ‘Movie Watchlist’ data point. You will only be able to implement the data points that are available on your website.

Can I integrate the Web Tracker with my mobile app?

No. This module is only compatible with an online platform/website.

How do the new custom web interactions work?

The Custom Web Interactions filters allow you to search and segment data and are located in the "Online Activity" Group Builder section, similar to the standard Web tracker filters.
