What happens if the transactional data is delayed and Movio receives it from [the point of sale] after a session has started or even finished?
Movio will disregard any late data for pre-session campaigns if it arrives after a session starts.
How does this compare to Recurring and Push List campaigns?
- Recurring campaigns only send once a day based on a Group Builder snapshot
- Push List campaigns send whenever new contacts are added to the list, however this process requires SFTP file drops to work
- Automated campaigns are always on and use your loyalty data to find key events of interest (triggers) that can be used to send an email or SMS to the moviegoer in real-time
How is the send time calculated for post-session campaigns?
Currently Movio assumes a session run time of two and a half hours. A post-session campaign send time will be calculated based off the session start time plus two and a half hours, along with the send time indicated in the setting. For example, setting a campaign to send 30 minutes after session will send 3hr after a session starts. In the future, Movio will calculate the session end time based on session start time plus film run time.
Can I send test emails for automated campaigns?
Yes, you can!
What markers are available for automated campaigns?
- Session film name, session time, and session cinema name are all available. Your standard loyalty markers are also available
- Please note, there’s a difference between the ‘session markers’ and the ‘loyalty last movie watched’ / ‘loyalty last cinema visited’ markers. While these will often be the same value, they can differ because the session markers are specific to the action that triggered this automated campaign
I want to send operational emails through Movio, how can I do this?
Great! For more information about operational emails and what you need to do, please read through this.
When are transactions processed for session-based campaigns?
Session-based campaigns will process transactions for up to 30 days prior to the selected ‘Start Date’. This means that any ticket transactions from early purchasers and pre-release sales will be included in your new campaign.
