Recall or abort a Campaign

There are two ways to stop a campaign in Movio Cinema – either by Recalling or by Aborting.

Recall a Campaign

You can recall a recurring or deployed campaign in Movio Cinema if the campaign has NOT been executed. This is useful if you’d like to make changes to your email copy, or if you notice that your send date or time is incorrect.

It is very easy to recall a recurring campaign in Movio Cinema:

1. Hover over ‘Engage’ and click on ‘Campaigns’
2. Click on the ‘Deployed’ or ‘Queued’ tab to select which campaign you’d like to recall
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the ‘Recall Campaign’ button. Enter your password and select ‘Recall’
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. You may change your execution date and time by scrolling down to the ‘Delivery’ section, or make any changes to your email campaign copy or settings. You will only be allowed to re-execute the campaign once you have updated the delivery date and time

Please note:

• Once the campaign is recalled, it is essentially taken out of circulation. This means if a campaign is set to execute on a daily basis at 6 am, but recalled the day before, the campaign will not execute as normal until you enter a new campaign execution date and time in the ‘Delivery’ section of the campaign
• At this point, you can choose if you’d like to change the frequency of execution from daily to only execute on Monday’s (for example)
• Once the campaign has been deployed, it will move from the ‘Configurations’ tab to ‘Deployed’ tab if it is a recurring campaign or ‘Queued’ for one-off campaign

Abort a Campaign

You can abort a campaign in Movio Cinema if the campaign HAS been executed. It is important to note that only the emails that have NOT already been sent will be aborted. The emails that have already executed cannot be retrieved.

To abort a campaign in Movio Cinema:

1. Hover over ‘Engage’ and click on ‘Campaigns’
2. Select which campaign you’d like to abort
3. Click on ‘Abort’ in the bottom right
4. You will need to enter your password
5. Click on ‘Abort‘

Please note:

Once you have aborted a campaign, you will NOT be able to re-execute it. If you only wanted to make a minor change, you will need to duplicate it, and execute a new campaign
