Steps
- On the workstation you want to use POS on, sign in to Vista Cloud.
-
On the Vista Cloud website, click the More capabilities (grid) icon, scroll down to the Downloads section, and click Vista POS.
Tip: If Vista POS isn't available in the Downloads section, you may need different permissions. Contact your system administrator.
- Download and run the installer.
- After the installation has finished, open Vista POS Registration from the Windows Start menu.
- Select the environment you're running, Live or Sandbox. If you're not sure, contact your Vista representative.
- Either scan the displayed QR code with your mobile device, or click the link below the QR code.
- On the webpage which opens, check that the code displayed matches the code displayed in the POS registration.
- You might be prompted to sign in to Vista Cloud and select your tenant to ensure that only authorised users can install POS. If you're already signed into Vista Cloud, you won't need to sign in and your existing tenant will be used by default.
-
When the success message appears, go back to the Vista POS registration application and select your site and the name of your workstation.
Tip: You can select from a list of existing workstations or type the name of a workstation, but the name of the workstation you're currently using will be selected by default.
- Wait for the workstation registration to complete. This may take several minutes.
-
Click Launch Vista POS. A POS shortcut will also be added to your desktop.
Note: The first time you launch POS, it may take a couple of minutes to install any necessary updates.
- Enter your credentials when prompted. POS is now ready to use.
