This example explains how to set up a balance type in Loyalty Administrator named Member Points which tracks the amount points a member earns.

| Include Tax | Check the box if required (this will be dependent on your program policy). |
| Earn Units when Redeeming Units | All Payments (this will be dependent on your program policy) |
Limits and Overrides

| Use Balance Type Earning Overrides and Item Adjustments | Leave unchecked for a simple points earning program. Check the box if you will provide different rates of earning. |
