Work areas are used in Vista's time and attendance data which can be used by your cinema and head office.
You can view, edit, and create work areas in Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Work areas.

The default wage rate paid for staff working in the area. If there is no rate card record configured for a user in the relevant work area, the wage rate paid will default to the Std Cost Rate Per Hour. Note: If the default cost rate configured on the user's maintenance form record is higher, that will be used instead. |

If the checkbox is selected, the work area will be the default. Note: Only one configured work area may have this option selected. If a record is saved with this field selected, all other records will have the Default Work Area field cleared. |
Report Codes |

Report codes can be used to create custom extracts of figures for a 3rd-party system. |
Checks required for all orders |

If the checkbox is selected, POS operators logged on to the workstation must use checks for all orders. This is useful for workstations in work areas that are part of restaurant operations. |

Table layout profiles can be configured with multiple areas. For example: Restaurant, Bar When the Checks page is viewed, the determined by this setting is shown by default. This allows workstations to be configured for use in particular areas.
