Because of the limitations on editing staff time records that result in a change to overtime calculations, we recommend the following practices.
- Choose the system setting StaffTime_HOUploadOptions = Approved Only. This will prevent unapproved staff time records from becoming uneditable because they have been uploaded to Head Office.
- Edit and approve staff time records in order, from earliest to latest. By approving records in strict time sequence, you can avoid the problem of being unable to edit an early record because it affects a locked, later record.
- Close staff time days in sequence, beginning with the earliest calendar date.
