The Work areas maintenance form in Head Office lets you create and manage work areas, which are used in the time and attendance data collected by Time Clock. Time and attendance data can be uploaded from the Cinema to Head Office.
Work area
Option | Allowed values | Description |
Name | 1–50 characters | The name of the Work Area. This is displayed when logging on in Time Clock and on Reports. |
Std Cost Rate Per Hour | Any monetary value |
The default wage rate paid for User working in the area. If there is no Rate Card record configured for a user in the relevant Work Area, the wage rate paid will default to the Std Cost Rate Per Hour. Note: If the Default Cost Rate configured on the user's maintenance form record is higher, that will be used instead. |

If the checkbox is selected, POS operators logged on to the Workstation must use Checks for all orders. This is useful for Workstations in Work Areas that are part of restaurant operations. |

Table Layout Profiles can be created to give POS operators a graphic representation of table locations. When the Checks page on POS is in Layout view, the selected Table Layout Profile will be used for the display. |

Table Layout Profiles can be configured with multiple Areas. For example, Restaurant, Bar. When the Checks page is viewed, the determined by this setting is shown by default. This allows workstations to be configured for use in particular areas.
Note: POS operators can still use Link Buttons to manually navigate between areas, regardless of what is set here. |

When your staff log in to a workstation and select this work area, they'll see this POS profile. If you leave this option empty, they'll see the workstation's POS profile instead. Note: Staff log in to individual work areas by using Time Clock. |

Cinema | Any cinema | When your staff log in to a workstation and select this work area, any sales they make will be recorded against the cinema you've selected. If you leave this option empty, the sales will be recorded against the workstation's Cinema used for Inventory Sales instead. Note: Staff log in to individual work areas by using Time Clock. |
