Shifts are used in time and attendance data collected by Vista. Setting up shifts is optional, but recommended if you are using any of Vista's time and attendance solutions, such as Time Clock.
You can create and maintain shifts in Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Shifts.

A short name used to identify the shift, and differentiate it from others. This will be displayed on reports. For example: AM Floor. |

A more extended explanation of the nature of the shift. For example: Morning usher work. |
Start Time |
Any time of day |
The start time of the shift. |
End Time |
Any time of day |
The end time of the shift. |
Break Start Time |
Any time of day |
The start of the shift's main break period. |
Break in Hours |
Any time value in hours |
The duration of the shift's main break period, in hours. |
Paid Break |
cleared selected |
If the checkbox is selected, staff on the shift will be paid for their break. If the checkbox is cleared, the length of the break will be deducted from the paid hours. |
